Dinner @ Two Chefs

I had a nice chat with Alan and his wife; it’s embarrassing that I can never remember her name, but I am so forgetful when it comes to names.

I am so tired of Two Chefs, but given the situation at Captain’s Tavern, and considering there aren’t many places near me that will let me stay for several hours, I’m kind of stuck with them. I need to call some of the restaurants in the downtown Coral Gables area to see if they’ll put up with me. I know Seasons 52 does and I need to go there more often.

Tonight was my usual appetizer night. I had baby back ribs with spiked orange glaze and house-made potato chips; the chips were soggy and the ribs were overcooked. Lump house-made crab cake with forest mushrooms, onions and chipotle mayonnaise; there were a lot of shells in the crab cake which I mentioned to Oscar. One scoop each of chocolate and vanilla ice cream with a triple espresso con leche.
